Gatlinburg's Fantasy of Lights Christmas paradeis a highlight of the breathtaking Smoky Mountain Christmas experience. At7:30 pm on December 6, you can watch the parade set out from traffic light #1A in downtown Gatlinburg. About an hour and a half later, the parade wraps up at traffic light #10.
Thousands of spectators line the streets, with the biggest crowd yet expected this year, at a forecasted 80,000. That sounds like a pretty terrific Christmas party.

Every fall, the famousRipley's Aquarium of the Smokies, in Gatlinburg, TN, hosts a Veterans Day celebration. This year is the 11th annual free-admission Gatlinburg Veterans Day Celebration, and will again be at the Ripley's Aquarium Plaza. Come by at 11:00 am on Monday, November 11, to enjoy a military aircraft flyover, patriotic music, recognition of veterans in attendance, remembrance of fallen comrades, and words from notable veterans.
