Happy Tuesday, Smoky Mountain Lovers!

We promised to let you know immediately when any change came with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Well change has come -- the park is reopening tomorrow! Through contributions from the state government as well as from Blount County and our own Sevier County (that's where Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are), the park will open Wednesday through Sunday. Governor Bill Haslam commented, "The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is America's most visited national park, and for the Smokies and the people around it, the month of October is the most important time of year. I remain hopeful that an end to the federal government shutdown will come this week."

We'll keep you updated on any new developments, but the park will be open starting tomorrow.
